When I became an Executive Assistant (EA) in 2018, I didn’t really have a plan. In fact, I barely understood what an EA was. Very quickly I learned that the role is bigger and more strategic than it looks. A great EA isn’t just organized. They also have great judgment, anticipate needs, stay calm under pressure, and help their leaders see the whole picture.
Despite not fully understanding the EA role, someone gave me a chance. I was trusted with real responsibility and trained to deliver excellent support. I learned by doing and used my existing skill-set (curiosity, passion, ownership, creativity) to become an exceptional EA. Eight years later, I am now the CEO of Base.
What I’ve learned along the way: strong EA talent is everywhere. But opportunity is not. So we are changing that.

Built by Base partnerships are $45 per hour, with a $1,500 implementation fee instead of our standard $2,500.
