Sorry for the lack of news. We've been very busy in the studio this year working on a variety of projects. Keep an ear out for the Diablo album, Motion Sickness new release and also Indigo Skins have been back in. We've been getting stuck in to Zombie Horror too (see Sky 108).

DECEMBER: NEWS & IN THE STUDIO
THE BBC WERE FILMING SEVEN HEROES HERE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. BASEHQ WAS SWAMPED BY NEARLY 70 MEMBERS OF THEIR STREET TEAM FOR THE RELEASE OF THEIR NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO. IT WILL FEATURE ON BBC1'S 'INSIDE OUT' SOON. I'LL TRY TO FIND OUT WHEN AND POST THE DATE.
ODD SHAPED HEAD'S ALBUM IS FINISHED SO HOPEFULLY THERE'LL BE NEWS OF A RELEASE DATE SOON. UNTIL THEN, THEY SAID WE CAN PUT 'EGOMATIC ANNIE' FROM THEIR ALBUM ON OUR PLAYER SO CHECK IT OUT.
THIS MONTH IS PACKED WITH A VARIETY OF PROJECTS WHICH INCLUDE BAGHDADDIES, COMPOSITION AND ARRANGEMENT FOR SOLO ARTISTS AND SOME OF OUR OWN EXPERIMENTAL CREATIONS.

Ex Big Brother housemate "Science" @ BaseHQ
Over the summer BaseHQ has been playng host to rappers and hip hop artists from all over the country from Ruffneck productions, Suga Kane records, Family ties connection, Leeds finest and more, all for a mixtape to be released across the UK, canada and the USA through Suga Kane records ( see www.sugakanerecords.com for release dates and availability) A familiar voice to appear on the CD is ex - Big Brother house mate SCIENCE, who features on one track.

The studio got a write up in Junes NME Magazine:
"...BASEHQ in Newcastle is a studio with a difference: They sign up the best bands they hear. Local groups Odd shaped head and the Baghdaddies were snapped up after owner Gavin heard them and released them on his CONSTRUCTION RECORDS label. Run by musicians and equipped to a high standard, they record everything "from hip hop to opera:, and people come from as far as Edinburgh to hang out in the bar and pool room and get creative...."
