BaseHQ is an industry standard recording studio providing high end facilities for clients throughout the world. Our network brings together both local and UK wide artists with small independent and major record labels including PARLAPHONE, 679 RECORDINGS, EMI, BMG, POLYDOR,TESTIN OUT, INSERT RECORDINGS and more, who are provided with bi-monthly showreels from our studio. Our facilities have been provided for bands such as The Cribs, The Guillemots and The Motorettes.

Our comprehensive range of services include recording, mixing, production, arrangement, composition and mastering all of which can be tailored to suit your needs. We take a fresh, creative and flexible approach with every artist, considering your own style and taste so that your production can take shape in the most satisfying way.

Our skill and innovation has earnt a us a reputation at the forefront of the commercial industry with the Official Charts, TV, Radio and MTV. The diversity of our experience allows us to work on a wide variety of projects both large and small, in all genres from rock and metal to funk and world music. If you need a demo on a tight budget our engineering team will work to the same high standards in a half day session for only 100 quid. 'In-house' industry professionals assist with everything from drum tech (Gav) and guitar/bass tech (Rich) to electro/techno wizardry from (Mick-Elastic Trickery). BaseHQ's technical support brings it's resources together to provide you with solutions no matter how far outside the box so that the gap between the artist and engineer is bridged.

We have rehearsal spaces available too. They are purpose built, room in room, soundproofed, shaped for accuracy and air conditioned.

BaseHQ is also the home of Construction Records and bands Odd Shaped Head and Baghdaddies.

Our work with artists within the booming NE hip hop/R+B scene has achieved international recognition. Amongst our clients are LoughDough (MTV Base, BBC One Love, SWAY) - DIGITAL's weekly Hip Hop/R+B club night; BBS whose deal with Suga Kane records (Death Row) takes their music and UK collaborations to The Southern States of America and Canada and their protogé FRAGRANCE, introducing new artists such as SCIENCE (BIG BROTHER) to our region.
